A maths lesson I often enjoyed was on measurement. Measurement can often be taught the same way year after year. Why not shake it up and take it outdoors?
Give groups of children measurements, this could be for the length of animals, the longest distance a person can jump, or even used with timelines. Ask the children to estimate and draw a line to indicate the distance required. You then get the measuring tape out and help them understand measurement. This is a fun and interactive way to link maths to whatever other learning is happening at the time.
