We particularly love the story of the green man. There are many tales of the green man, but they generally end with the green man looking after the children and animals in the forest.
This is a great story for firing imaginations. Once the children have listened to the story outdoors, we often ask them to create their own green man. This could be using clay or just materials found in the playground. It can then be continued indoors with the children writing their own stories, describing and more.
