Training
We combine your curriculum with your playground to help you unlock the magic already in your school.

We are teachers and understand the curriculum, but more than that, we comprehend the pressures schools are under to meet curriculum demands while keeping lessons motivational.

While we are based in West Lothian, Scotland, we are happy to travel and provide training throughout the UK and beyond. We come to you to provide training for your staff, either on-site or at a nearby wood; even concrete playgrounds have plenty of learning opportunities! Our training helps turn outdoor learning into just another tool for a teacher to use, suitable for any stage and curricular area.

By the end of the twilight session, your staff will feel more confident and equipped with ideas they can deliver.  But our support does not end there. You have a full twelve months of support thereafter.  All schools that undertake training with us then benefit from a full twelve months access to our innovative members site* to support staff, providing curriculum maps, lesson ideas, training and more. This also provides you with an additional four hours of consultancy to help support any problems or issues that arise throughout the course of the year, ensuring outdoor learning really does become a tool supporting your learners.

What’s included?

Twilight Sessions are 2 hours long and run from around 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. They’re delivered to groups of up to 30 people (larger groups possible but discussion required before booking).

Each twilight is completely different – the shorter period of time means we work with you to select key elements that will support teaching and learning within your school.

The 2-hour session may include:

  • The benefits of outdoor learning
  • Why we need to deliver outdoor learning
  • Risk assessment – teaching the kids
  • How to plan effectively
  • Outdoor learning lessons and activities covering maths, literacy and health and wellbeing
  • Behaviour techniques and strategies
*Please note: the membership is available for one school only. Should additional schools be attending the training, we can offer a discount for their individual memberships.
